These are the latest new fantasy releases we are pre-ordering or adding to cart the second they come out. Which ones are on your TBR, and have you found more to entice you?

This post is separated into Young Adult fantasy and New Adult fantasy listicles so you can zoom to the section you prefer. Now settle in and let's get clicking!

Young Adult Fantasy Releases

Paz by Liz Shipton

Release date November 1st, 2023

It's been a year since Sargo carried Bird out of Zenith headquarters, soaked in her blood. Since then, life has been how he likes it: stable. Orderly. Everything in its place. But the cracks are beginning to show...

I read the NA version so I know what a treat you will get in the YA edition. It's one heck of a fast ride from a post climate change Earth to multiple different versions in the multiverse, looking for Paz's erstwhile girlfriend who may not want to be found. If you're a fan of Brandon Sanderson's Steelheart and Allegra Pescatore's NaCl, you will love this series!

Check out NA version here.

Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree

Release date November 7, 2023

When an injury throws a young, battle-hungry orc off her chosen path, she may find that what we need isn't always what we seek.

Set in the world of New York Times bestselling Legends & Lattes, Travis Baldree's Bookshops & Bonedust takes us on a journey of high fantasy, first loves, and secondhand books.

I adored Legends and Lattes and cannot wait to re-enter the world again for a second cup! And the fact that this is a bookstore, SWOON! Sign me up.

The Silver Prince by Lyndsey Hall

Release date November 10th, 2023

A soldier who conjures shadows. A princess cursed to dance. A mystery none can solve.

We love Hall's stories and this will be no exception. I love The Twelve Dancing Princesses and cannot wait for this retelling of it.

This is part of a multi-author series, each with sweet romance and HEA. Check out the rest of the series too and find a new favorite retelling of a classic.

Tales of the Mirrors by Sky Sommers

Release date November 14th, 2023

What if all mirrors were portals and wishes were like curses? If you're a fan of Roald Dahl and Sarah Pinborough's twisted tales, this set of five fairytale retellings should be up your alley.

Continuing the retellings is Sommers latest release, a set of short stories. If you're new to Sommers, this is a great way to try out her fresh style.

Defiant by Brandon Sanderson

Release date November 21, 2023

Spensa's team, Skyward Flight, was able to hold Winzik off, and even collect allies to help with the cause, but it's only a matter of time until humanity--and the rest of the galaxy--falls.

Sanderson never disappoints and there are high hopes for the finale of the Skyward. Can I just say, I love how all of Sanderson's worlds are connected? Love me a multiverse and Cosmere situation type deal.

New Adult Fantasy Releases

Paz by Liz Shipton - New Adult Edition

Release date November 1st, 2023

It's been a year since Sargo carried Bird out of Zenith headquarters, soaked in her blood. Since then, life has been stable, but the cracks are beginning to show. Political tension crackles beneath the city's surface, and Sargo is convinced that Bird is hiding things from him. And then there's this wall he cannot stop dreaming about...

No, you're not experiencing a glitch in the Matrix, it's just that Shipton has released an NA version as well. I wish more authors would do this because sometimes I want sweet and clean and sometimes I want ALLLL the spice, and I hate having to choose! Shipton does not disappoint in this installment, all the thrills of the YA version with extra scenes that add to the characterisation. Chef's kiss perfection and a lesson in how to do it!

Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

Release date November 7, 2023

“The first year is when some of us lose our lives. The second year is when the rest of us lose our humanity.” —Xaden Riorson

This has to be the most highly anticipated fantasy book of the year. After the dragon-back ride of Fourth Wing, I cannot wait to get my grabby hands on this book and no doubt I'll read it in one sitting.

While you're impatiently waiting for the 7th, why not cure your book hangover from Fourth Wing with these similar recommended reads?

Reunion by Dani Hoots

Release date November14th, 2023

A swashbuckling upper NA LGBTQ+ sci-fi western you don't want to miss! Follow Ellie and her friends as they venture through the mountains—escaping danger once again; however, is this place much safer?

This series has the most aaaaaamazing covers. Expect lots of wintery action in book 4 of this swashbuckling series.

System Collapse by Martha Wells

Releases November 14, 2023

Everyone's favorite lethal SecUnit is back in the next installment in Martha Wells's New York Times bestselling Murderbot Diaries series.

Am I making it worse? I think I'm making it worse.

Murderbot has one of the best character voices out there, so of course I am one-clicking this baby into my cart. There's something about taking down corporations that speaks to me...

The Goblin's Bride by R. L. Medina

Release day November 25th, 2023

A grumpy goblin. A witch with baking magic. A recipe that brings them together.

What more can you ask for? This one is so hot off the press it doesn't even have a cover yet. I still can't wait to get my goblin hands on it!
